Data Requests

This page explains how to make a privacy or personal-data request for InsureCompare. We use this process to support requests under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and other applicable privacy obligations.

Email support@insurecompareapp.com from the email address linked to your account. Include the request type, the account email involved, and enough detail for us to locate the relevant records.

Request Types

Access your personal data

Ask for a summary of personal data associated with your account, product requests, saved comparisons, support messages, and other account-linked activity.

Correct inaccurate data

Ask us to correct account, billing, product-request, client, proposal, or support information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Delete data or close your account

Ask us to delete personal data where deletion is appropriate. Some records may need to be retained for billing, legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, or service integrity reasons.

Withdraw consent or object to marketing

Ask us to stop optional communications or processing that depends on consent. Operational, billing, security, and legal notices may still be sent when needed.

Verification

We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting on a request. This protects your account from unauthorized access, correction, deletion, or disclosure.

If you are asking about client or proposal records that you entered into InsureCompare, identify the client display name, proposal name, or approximate date so we can locate the right records.

What We Review

Depending on your request, we may review account records, saved comparisons, product requests, report-error submissions, client and proposal records, saved tool calculations, billing metadata, analytics records, abuse-prevention records, AI usage metadata, and support communications.

We will respond based on the request type, the data involved, and any retention, security, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, legal, or service-integrity requirements that apply.
